Dear Applicant,
I hope this message finds you well. At Stay Alive Vets (SAV), we share a deep commitment to supporting our fellow veterans and preventing veteran suicide in our community. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are dedicated to supporting organizations that provide essential resources and support to veterans in need, and we understand the importance of collaboration in achieving this mission.
We are pleased to announce that Stay Alive Vets is offering funding opportunities to other military veteran non-profits that are similarly dedicated to preventing suicide among veterans. We believe that by working together and supporting each other, we can amplify our impact and make significant strides in reducing veteran suicides.
Why Stay Alive Vets?
Our organization is driven by a singular purpose: to increase public awareness of challenges unique to the Veteran community and services available to prevent veteran suicide and raising funds to support such organizations. Stay Alive Vets serves as a liaison between veterans, policy leaders and institutions, offering policy education and providing research and policy advice to federal, state and local organizations.
How Your Organization Can Benefit:
We invite you to apply for funding by sharing detailed information about your non-profit, including:
• Non-Profit Status: Proof of your 501(c)(3) status or equivalent, demonstrating your commitment to operating as a non-profit organization.
• Mission Statement: A clear articulation of your organization’s mission and how it aligns with the goal of preventing veteran suicides.
• Program Descriptions: Detailed descriptions of the programs and activities you conduct to support veterans, including any specific initiatives aimed at suicide prevention.
• Impact Evidence: Information on the outcomes of your efforts, including testimonies from veterans who have benefited from your services, statistics on lives impacted, or other evidence of your organization’s effectiveness.
• Future Plans: An outline of how you plan to use the funding, including specific goals you aim to achieve with the additional resources.
Selection Process:
Our selection process is designed to identify organizations that are making a tangible difference in the lives of veterans. We are particularly interested in supporting initiatives that:
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to suicide prevention.
• Show measurable impact and effectiveness in their work.
• Have a clear plan for how additional funding will enhance their services and outreach.

To apply for funding, please submit the requested information via email to Marc Miller, marc@stayalivevets.org by November 1st, 2024. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
